The merits of the film itself aside, The Crow’s soundtrack is an absolutely stellar snapshot of mid-Nineties alternative music. Industrial staples like Nine Inch Nails and My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult abound, joined by everyone from metal bands like Pantera (covering hardcore band Poison Idea) and Rage Against the Machine to Eighties goth-rock icons like the Cure and Jesus and the Mary Chain. Every group is at the top of their game, and despite the disparate styles it all gels together beautifully.
