The first part of System’s 2005 two-album campaign is impossibly tricky to pin to a single sound. The album title nevertheless captures the hypnotic spirit of the quartet’s atom-splitting splatter of thrash-tastic speediness and disco-loving grooving. That culture-distorting extends to the legacy-defining “B.Y.O.B.,” a War on Terror-criticizing rage-out cloaked as a bitterly satirical party anthem for the early ‘00s. A real good time, indeed.
