IT’S NOT A PHASE is the latest project from Canadian midtempo mastermind REZZ, a goth-inspired, rocktronic album that will thrill both dance and alternative fans alike. With collaborations from rock/alt heavyweights such as Silverstein, Grabbitz, Tim Henson of Polyphia, and Johnny Goth, REZZ pushes far beyond the boundaries of midtempo bass music. The collaborations Embers, Signal and Blurry Eyes seamlessly integrate powerful rock vocals and instruments with her signature sound. Focus track Dreamstate is akin to the massive emo hits of the 2000s but with a strikingly modern, heavy bassline only REZZ would dream up. This EP is the next stage in the evolution of REZZ as she skillfully welcomes us to her “goth era”.
