Bright Eyes recorded new versions of a selection of songs from their classic albums for each "companion" EP in their reissue series, with guest appearances from friends and collaborators, and a cover of a song from "an artist they found particularly inspiring at the time of the original recording." The 'Digital Ash in a Digital Urn' companion includes their rendition of The Faint's "Agenda Suicide," and they tackled its songs in the acoustic style of the simultaneously released 'I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning.'
