Jawbox are a cult-favorite American post-hardcore band that emerged from the Washington, D.C., scene in the late 1980s. Known for their angular guitars, complex melodies, and dynamic rhythms, Jawbox combined the energy and aggression of punk rock with the creativity and experimentation of indie rock. Led by vocalist/guitarist J. Robbins, Jawbox crafted songs that were both catchy and challenging, with lyrics that explored personal and political themes with honesty and wit.
