Yellowcard haven’t released an album in nearly a decade, but they just announced their return with Better Days, arriving Oct. 10 via Better Noise Music. The LP was produced by blink-182’s Travis Barker, who drummed on every song, and features collaborations with Avril Lavigne and Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio.
“I started the record as one version of myself and came out the other side changed,” frontman Ryan Key says, who credits Barker with helping to shape his ideas while in the studio. “I went in knowing I needed help. I came out of it writing songs like I was 19 again.”

They’ve also shared two songs from the album, “honestly i” and the title track. The latter comes with a video directed by Jordan Phoenix, featuring the members as ’80s movie characters performing in a Blockbuster knockoff. “We are focused on this chapter of our career being about happiness,” Key adds. “This is the most fun we’ve had making a video in 20 years, and we hope everyone has a smile on their face when they watch it.”
