Taylor Acorn is pushing back on a fraught relationship with her new single, “Crashing Out.” In the accompanying video, Acorn is isolated at a house party, mimicking the cycle of being with someone emotionally unavailable, all while partygoers act uninterested and nonchalant.
The song follows her recent signing with Fearless Records and previously released singles “Goodbye, Good Riddance” and “Hangman,” both of which will appear on her new album, Poster Child, out Oct. 24. The album is her follow-up to her debut, Survival in Motion.

“‘Crashing Out’ is a song that I wrote with Dylan Bauld and Mandy Lee from MisterWives, and it’s one of my favorites off the album,” Acorn shares. “It has such an infectious, nostalgic feel to it. It’s super upbeat and just an all-around great vibe. You can dance to it, you can crash out to it, in which I’ve done both.”
Next month, Acorn will perform songs from Poster Child at the When We Were Young Festival in Vegas, Warped Tour in Orlando, and her North American headline tour later this year with support from alt-rock band Wilt.
