Snooper began as an auditory/visual project within Nashville’s DIY underground, creating homemade cassettes and videos before switching gears with their raucous debut, 2023’s Super Snõõper. Today, they’re back with the follow-up, Worldwide, which arrives Oct. 3 via Third Man Records.
“The whole idea behind this record was experimentation and change,” guitarist Connor Cummins says, who wrote new songs with vocalist/visual artist Blair Tramel while on the road supporting their first album. Rounded out by bassist Happy Haugen, drummer Brad Barteau, and guitarist Conner Sullivan, those shows were a spectacle, featuring puppets, gigantic paper-mâché props, and weight lifting. “It’s like Larry David on Curb Your Enthusiasm. We’re playing fictionalized versions of ourselves,” Cummins told us last year, leading up to their performance at the third annual “Indieplaza” on Record Store Day.

The five-piece will play a handful of shows with the Hives throughout September, kicking off in Austin. See those tour dates, plus the video for the frenetic title track, below.
