Fleshwater have announced the follow-up to their 2022 debut, We’re Not Here To Be Loved. 2000: In Search Of The Endless Sky is due out on Sept. 5 via Closed Casket Activities. It features David Haik of Pianos Become the Teeth on drums, and they self-recorded their vocals at home, with guitars and bass getting tracked by Zach Weeks and Converge‘s Kurt Ballou.
They’ve shared the first single, “Jetpack,” and you can watch the video, directed by Eric Richter, below. Guitarist and vocalist Anthony Dido calls it “a really special song that takes me on an adventure every time I hear it. It was the main source of inspiration for this album and really encapsulates the entire vibe of it. I’m excited for people to finally hear it and have it take them on their own personal journey.”
