Coheed and Cambria are gearing up to play their 2005 LP, Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness, in full for a handful of shows. Before their first at Furnace Fest in the U.K., they shared the new song “Blind Side Sonny,” which teases their next project.
The prog-rock vets have long plotted out rich, painstakingly detailed storytelling through their many sci-fi-leaning concept albums, extending into their own comic series. Their latest track builds upon that world by introducing a new villain, who can be seen in their Max Moore-directed video. As fans swarm the band in a backlot, Sonny edges closer. Before we can see what he’s planning, though, he slips away.

Speaking of the new release, vocalist Claudio Sanchez says, “‘Blind Side Sonny’ is a song about revenge. What may seem like an innocent choice to someone could be the breeding ground of another’s malicious misunderstanding. Perception can be your worst enemy.”
