070 Shake has been teasing her third studio album, Petrichor, for over a year, including the singles “Black Dress” and “Natural Habitat” featuring rapper Ken Carson. The long-awaited LP is out Nov. 15 via Def Jam, and she’s previewing the release with “Winter Baby / New Jersey Blues.”
Produced by Dave Hamelin, Tyler Johnson, and Patrick Krief, the new song brings out Shake’s “fatal vision of desire” and comes with a video starring Lily-Rose Depp as her love interest. Equally inspired by the films Fallen Angels and Climax, the visual takes place in an empty bar, and the music makes an unexpected turn by embracing ’50s pop and then transitioning into 808s in the second half.

“I would say [Petrichor] a level up for me as far as maturity and lyrics,” Shake told us last year, when she was still in the midst of making it. “I’m still in the process of working on it and building it as we speak. I’m really finding what this sound is, [and] I don’t feel like I really get to see what it is until it’s finished. Then I can look at it. I don’t go in with a premeditated idea because I don’t want to put myself in a box.”
