Behind the scenes of When We Were Young 2024

This year’s When We Were Young was nothing short of magic. Capturing nostalgia for the days of cracked iPods and Hot Topic hair dye, the 2024 iteration of the Las Vegas festival went back to the beginning and featured most of the roster performing some of their most celebrated albums in their entirety. It made for a memorable, emo-as-hell weekend that will be living in our minds at full volume for the coming months, from My Chemical Romance revitalizing the spirit of The Black Parade with their shadow box stage to Pierce the Veil playing Collide With the Sky’s “One Hundred Sleepless Nights” for the first time. Elsewhere during the weekend, L.S. Dunes pulled out their new song “Fatal Deluxe,” Fall Out Boy ran through an era-spanning setlist, and Pretty Girls Make Graves ended a length hiatus.
