Back in 2022, Wet Leg proved that their “party music for people who want to stay in” was worth the hype, and they’ve played dozens of shows since then. Recently, though, the Isle of Wight five-piece started debuting new songs from their second album, moisturizer, which arrives July 11 via Domino.
One of those includes the revved-up “catch these fists,” which is out today. The track revolves around the “recurring real-life nightmare of people invading your space,” co-founder Rhian Teasdale tells BBC Radio 1. Elsewhere, the record’s populated with all kinds of love songs. “I thought I was straight all of my life until I met my current partner — these love songs are about them,” Teasdale shares. “I just found it so much more interesting and empowering to be writing love songs where I’m not lusting over a man — it feels a little bit different.”

Its video, directed by the band and shot in their hometown, features the members toting boomboxes, wearing Praying underwear, and gulping down milk on the move. When they stage a kidnapping, the playful and sinister duality of the song snaps into focus.
