Yesterday marked six years since the tragic passing of DJ AM, and Travis Barker has taken to Instagram to share a photo of two, as well as a heartwarming message.

Accompanying the photo of a mohawk-clad Barker with DJ AM is a message, reading:
“Been 6 years, not a day goes by I don't miss my homie, my mentor, one of my favorite people to who have ever rocked the stage with and somebody who made me a better person. We went thru so much together … The highest of highs and the lowest of lows….you were one in a million. Rest in power Adam I love you, till we rock again…. #DjAMFOREVER #GOAT”
AM died on August 28, 2009 in his New York apartment from an accidental overdose. AM and Barker were the only survivors in a 2008 plane crash that killed four others.
