Earlier this year, Nate Amos, one-half of Water From Your Eyes, shared a new album, Box For Buddy, Box For Star, under his solo project This Is Lorelei. Now he’s taking those songs on tour, which begins early next year.
Though the LP was originally “a challenge to make music without getting high,” Amos pulled back from his quick writing process (one that’s yielded hundreds of self-released songs) in favor of a more intentional, traditional album structure. The result is more meaningful, earnest reflections that meld with his dark humor, and Amos will likely play a bunch of them. Launching Jan. 12 in Philadelphia, he will travel across the U.S. until April, bringing along youbet and Starcleaner Reunion as support on select dates. He’ll cap off the run with a hometown show supporting MJ Lenderman on April 29 in Brooklyn. Tickets go on sale Friday, Nov. 1 at 10 a.m. local time.
