The Pretty Reckless are back with their first music since 2022’s Other Worlds comp. They’ve shared “For I Am Death,” which explodes from a moody acoustic intro into riff-heavy alt-rock. “‘For I Am Death’ came from somewhere visceral,” Taylor Momsen tells AP. “I want the listener to interpret it in their own way, but there is a power to it that hits me very deeply, and I’m hopeful that people will find something in it to make them feel the same way.”
“The interpretation of the song might align with my own, or it might come from the heart of the audience,” Momsen adds in a press statement. “Either way, I’m excited to see what people take away from it and what it means to them. Oh, and rock ‘n’ roll will never die.”

The band supported AC/DC on tour this spring, and while they don’t have any more shows lined up currently, “For I Am Death” is being billed as “the beginning of their next chapter.” Watch the video, directed by Lewis Cater, below, and stay tuned for more.
