The Maine have released their new single, “Die To Fall,” via Photo Finish Records/8123.
“The energy the song has right out of the gate is something we wanted to lead with,” drummer Pat Kirch says exclusively to AP. “Just letting people know that we’re back. It’s also the perfect song to play on the upcoming tour. While the entire album isn’t as frantic as this song, there is a rawness that is in all the songs.”

After weeks of teasing, the Maine officially announced their new album via drones late last week. Joy Next Door, their 10th full-length, will be out April 10. “The album is autobiographical, all from the perspective of John’s internal thoughts, not observations of other people,” Kirch continues. “We recorded the album in chronological order to really sonically paint the album to fit the lyrical arc.
“Overall, this era is all about the music. We put everything we have into making the album. We kept things as raw and real as possible. The idea is that everyone listening is hearing exactly what the five of us wanted to create because we love it, not with any external pressure.”
At the end of 2025, the Maine announced their 2026 headline tour with direct support from Nightly and Grayscale, and a rotating lineup of bands that include Franklin Jonas & The Byzantines, Friday Pilots Club, Broadside, and Moody Joody.
