The All-American Rejects are on the hunt in their new single, “Search Party!” The track, which was written by frontman Tyson Ritter and initially teased at Warped Tour in Long Beach earlier this summer, is about seeking closure or a final connection after a fractured relationship.
The video, directed by Jamie Thraves, is out next week on Sept. 24 and features the band in their own video game reminiscent of Grand Theft Auto and Resident Evil. In addition to the video, the band are releasing a playable video game accompaniment so fans can play as any member to try and recoup the band’s items.

The single follows “Easy Come, Easy Go” and “Sandbox,” both marking a groundbreaking year so far. Earlier this spring, they embarked on their House Party tour, playing shows across America in fans’ backyards, garages, and bowling alleys. As part of the tour, they even livestreamed a surprise show at a Sheetz gas station in Pittsburgh last month.
While fans await the release of their next album, they can currently catch them at festivals like Shaky Knees and on tour this fall supporting the Jonas Brothers.
