Following Spiritbox’s remix of Megan Thee Stallion’s “Cobra” last year, they’ve teamed up once again for “TYG” off the rapper’s new album, Act II, which is out today.
Vocalist Courtney LaPlante and guitarist Mike Stringer turned around their contributions in under 36 hours for that song, and while it’s unclear how much time the duo had to contribute to this latest collab, it’s no less hard-hitting. “TYG” appears on the back half of the Stallion’s Act II, but you can hear their world-building rap-metal fusion — complete with chugging nü-metal-esque guitars and LaPlante’s guttural screams — below.

LaPlante had previously told our sister pub Revolver that Megan Thee Stallion is one of her favorite artists and that working with the rapper was “a fever dream” experience.
Act II officially hit streaming today (Oct. 25), with Thee Stallion also bringing aboard rapper Flo Milli (“Roc Steady”), K-pop outfit Twice (“Mamushi (Remix)”), and RM of BTS (“Neva Play”). As for Spiritbox, they have two more shows left on their current tour with Korn and Gojira, which hits Omaha, Nebraska’s CHI Health Center tonight and St. Paul, Minnesota’s Xcel Energy Center on Oct. 27. Their most recent single is September’s “Soft Spine.”
