Rocket signed to Transgressive/Canvasback earlier this year, and they’ve now announced their debut album. R Is For Rocket follows their 2023 Versions of You EP (which they reissued this year) and is due out on Oct. 3. The band’s Desi Scaglione produced it, and the band say it’s about “relationships, the most important part of life; relationships with your friends, your parents, your girlfriend or boyfriend, and most importantly your relationship with yourself.”
R Is For Rocket includes their May single “One Million” and last month’s “Crossing Fingers,” and they’ve shared a third single, “Wide Awake,” which keeps their ’90s influence coming. They call it “the perfect balance of all the elements of this record,” and you can watch the video, directed by Jaxon Whittington, below.

Rocket will support the Smashing Pumpkins on tour in the U.K. this summer, followed by North American headlining shows in the fall. See their full schedule below.
