Nova Twins have been on a tear lately. The duo of Amy Love and Georgia South recently performed at Glastonbury, covered Doechii’s “Anxiety,” and will hit Warped Tour’s Long Beach stop this weekend. Ahead of that show, they’ve returned with another combustible single called “N.O.V.A” from their upcoming album, Parasites & Butterflies, out Aug. 29 via Marshall Records.
“This is a celebration of identity, a tribute to the women in our family, and a refusal to apologize for who we are,” the band say. “As two Black women in rock music, we initially felt we had to prove ourselves, due to a lack of representation. Sticking to our guns and overcoming self-doubt has brought us pride. This song honors the peers who paved the way and the progress we’ve made.”

Its video, directed by Charlie Rees, upholds that message just as fiercely as their music, featuring the duo on the ground of a mosh pit while channeling their prism of alt-rock, R&B, and grimey electro-punk.
It’s only a preview of their packed tour schedule. That includes a handful of festival appearances, opening for Lenny Kravitz and Biffy Clyro, and their own U.K./EU headlining tour.
