Julien Baker and TORRES have long been rumored to have a country project in the works, which they all but confirmed when TORRES joined Baker at one of her NYC residency shows at Webster Hall in October to perform a pair of new songs together. The pair followed that by launching a new website and announcing some festival dates, and now they’ve made their television debut as a duo. They performed “Sugar in the Tank,” which is currently unreleased, on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Baker and TORRES are sticking around NYC to play a very intimate show at Mercury Lounge tonight (Dec. 11). It’s sold out (a link to tickets was sent to subscribers to their email lists, and they sold out immediately), but they do have some festival dates coming up, and hopefully will announce a proper tour soon too.
