Julia Louise has signed to No Sleep Records just in time for the release of her upcoming three-song EP Insatiable. As a sneak peek, they've teamed up with AP to premiere the single “Shock Therapy.”
The slow, sleepy song was inspired by Julia's family life. “My parents weren't around much when I was in high school,” she says. “My mom had addiction issues that she was hospitalized for and my dad lived in Russia for many years, so I spent a lot of time at home alone. 'Shock Therapy' is just a reflection on how I felt at the time. It took a few years to make sense of it all.
Insatiable will be released on June 10 via No Sleep. In the meantime, check out “Shock Therapy” below!
