Japanese Breakfast have announced their fourth album. For Melancholy Brunettes (& sad women), the follow-up to 2021’s Jubilee, is due out on March 21 via Dead Oceans. It was produced by Blake Mills, and bandleader Michelle Zauner says, “I felt seduced by getting what I always wanted. I was flying too close to the sun, and I realized if I kept going I was going to die.”
They’ve shared the first single, “Orlando in Love,” a lush, string-adorned track. Watch the lyric video below.

Japanese Breakfast also announced a tour following their appearance at Coachella. They include North American shows in April, May, and June, a run in Europe and the U.K. in June and July, and more North American dates in August and September. See all dates below.
