According to a report from Variety, negotiations for Pitch Perfect 3 are already in the works. It's also reported that screenwriter Kay Cannon will be returning for the series' proposed third installment.
Both the original Pitch Perfect and its sequel have been worthwhile endeavors for Universal, so it's no surprise they're already looking for another one.

It's worth noting, that Variety's report claims Pitch Prefect 3 is in its infant stages, as a director has yet to be chosen and it's not certain which actors will be returning to reprise their roles.
