Fontaines D.C. have released a deluxe edition of their 2024 album Romance, which comes with a slight variant on the artwork and three bonus tracks. One of those is “It’s Amazing to Be Young,” released as a single back in February, and its dark and dreamy B-side, “Before You I Just Forget.”
“‘Before You I Just Forget’ is a song that started with a vision of this really blown-out sound, something that heaved and shifted with new details, becoming apparent every time you would listen,” guitarist Conor Curley says. “Like never being able to step in the same river twice, the song morphs and changes, finishing with an incredible string part by Grian.”

The third bonus track is a live and stripped-back version of “Starburster” that has been mashed up with David Lynch and Peter Ivers’ “In Heaven,” which you might know as the “Lady in the Radiator Song” from cult film Eraserhead. You can stream all three tracks below.
