Filth Is Eternal have unveiled their upcoming third album, Impossible World, out March 17 via MNRK Heavy. The follow-up to 2023’s Find Out, written with rapid gentrification, AI, and a creeping tide of authoritarianism in mind, includes collaborations with Fall Out Boy’s Joe Trohman, Blood Brothers’ Johnny Whitney, and more.
“I think the biggest changes from LP1 to now is that we’ve upped the intention by using more melody, harmony, and singing in general,” vocalist Lis DiAngelo says. “We’re working with aggression, but moving toward something beautiful and true.”

Filth Is Eternal dropped the album’s first single, “Stay Melted,” alongside the LP announcement, snarling over a driving beat. The video, directed by Sebastian Deramat, features the band performing on “FTV,” a spoof of MTV.
“The world can feel like a total trash fire to the point where we become lethargic,” the band say of “Stay Melted.” “Lethargy makes us our own worst enemy; sometimes you have to kill a thing before you lose yourself to it completely.”
