Last week, Evanescence’s Amy Lee, Spiritbox’s Courtney LaPlante, and Poppy posted a joint photo that hinted at a powerhouse collaboration for the ages. Today, they’re releasing that song, “End of You,” which arrives with an elaborate, fantasy-style video.

As expected, it’s a massive song, blending melodic and screamed vocals, an intoxicating chorus, and a powerful statement of intent: “The end of you is the start of life for me.”

The song follows Lee and Halsey’s collaborative “Hand That Feeds” for the Ballerina soundtrack and Evanescence’s original song for the action film “Fight Like a Girl” featuring K. Flay. As a press release points out, Evanescence are currently in the studio to finish the follow-up to 2021’s The Bitter Truth, expected next year.

Evanescence kick off some shows later this month, including opening for My Chemical Romance’s Long Live The Black Parade in Tampa. Poppy continues her They’re All Around Us tour tonight in Montclair, New Jersey. Meanwhile, Spiritbox play Louder Than Life on Sept. 19 and then commence the second part of their Tsunami Sea headliner with Periphery and Honey Revenge in November.
