EKKSTACY just spent the past several months opening for $uicideboy$ on their GREY DAY tour. During that time, he released the scuzzy single “mr. mole,” and now he’s following it up with another new song called “seventeen.”
EKKSTACY described “mr. mole” as “the start of a new chapter for me. I’ve moved away from bedroom production and started writing music with my band. This song is step one into a direction I’ve always wanted to go.” Enveloped in jangly melancholy, his latest follows that path as well. It’s punctuated by a huge pop-punky chorus that channels Untitled-era blink-182, who he also toured with earlier this year.

The new song comes with a grainy music video, where EKKSTACY wanders around in the woods, contemplating the easy friendships and first loves of being a teenager.
