It’s only been two years since Chase Atlantic released the deluxe edition of BEAUTY IN DEATH, but the Australian trio are already back with their fourth studio album, LOST IN HEAVEN.
“We basically had to make a fifth album, because we lost so much of what we were gonna do,” bandleader Mitchel Cave recalls, having left his laptop out in the rain. “I still don’t keep any backups. I guess I like playing with fire. Or maybe I like the challenges, because none of our albums have been a piece of cake.” The LP is chock-full of their sultry spirit, featuring tributes to Brazil (“FAVELA”), woozy flows (“DIE FOR ME”), and dark love songs that feature callbacks to their older songs (“YOU”). “Even in the most beautiful places, you can feel alone and out of your depth,” Cave says of the latter.

Chase Atlantic are currently on a headlining tour with 24kGoldn, which launched in mid-October. Following the North American run, the band will head overseas, with shows scattered across Australia and Europe in support of the new album.
