Chase Atlantic are constantly in momentum, packing out shows and continuing to surprise everyone around them with headlong experimentalism.
For our Winter 2024 Issue, Mitchel Cave, Clinton Cave, and Christian Anthony took a beat from their headlining tour with 24kGoldn to unpack LOST IN HEAVEN with AP. The LP adds more layers to their signature sound, packed with shoutouts to their time in Brazil, unexpected twists (read: tambourines), and dark love songs that reference their early hits if you listen closely. Most significantly, there’s maturity and introspection all the way through — just don’t try to squeeze their sound into a box. “We’ve done ’80s, we’ve done R&B, and people always ask us, ‘What genre are you?’” Mitchel tells us. “And I go, ‘Please.’ There’s one question I don’t know how to answer. I don’t know what genre we are. We’re Chase Atlantic. We’re a sound. We had to create our own genre.”
