Ahead of Oasis’ big reunion tour later this year, Bring Me the Horizon covered their classic “Wonderwall” single as part of a new Spotify session.
Out today, the U.K. metalcore put a unique spin on the iconic (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? single. Gone are the famously Mancunian drawls of Liam Gallagher, replaced with BMTH vocalist Oli Sykes’ higher register crooning. The arrangement likewise vaults between sunny, early aughts pop-punk power-chording and a more metallic, breakdown-ish backbeat near the end. Sykes naturally screams through that bit. The cover artwork even recreates a shot from the 1995 video.
