artist friendly ziggy marley

More Artist Friendly is on the way. Following conversations with Lionel Richie, Marc Roberge of O.A.R., and Slayyyter, Ziggy Marley will join Joel Madden on the latest episode of the series.

Marley was only 12 years old when his father died, but he’s carried on his legacy, putting out multiple albums, launching a record label, and producing the 2024 film Bob Marley: One Love. Before the release of his ninth full-length, Brightside, Marley stopped by the Artist Friendly studio for a grounded, soulful conversation with Madden. The two go deep on the making of his record, the song he wrote as a love letter to his father, and what it means to find your path without imitating someone else. “We all have a purpose here, so I’m just doing my part,” he tells Madden. “I’m not trying to be the brain if I’m the heart.”
